Jirayu Koo は、バンコクを拠点とするアーティスト／イラストレーターで、大胆な形と鮮やかな色の組み合わせを用いながら、身の回りのあらゆるものからインスピレーションを得たポジティブなビジュアルを制作することを楽しんでいます。
彼女の作品に登場するコロコロとしたキャラクターたちは、さまざまなバージョンの「自分自身」を表現しており、その一部は常に物事の楽観的な側面を探し求めています。だからこそ、彼女は Glom-Glom というキャラクターを生み出し、彼らを通じて物語を語ることで、その精神を祝いたいと考えました。これは、混沌としたこの世界と向き合うための彼女なりの方法であり、ますます狂気じみていく世の中の醜さに対して、ポジティブな思考をもって立ち向かう手段なのです。
Jirayu Koo is a Bangkok based artist/ illustrator who enjoy making positive visuals inspired from all things around with bold shapes and vibrant colours combination.
The roly-poly characters in her works are herself in difference versions and that part of her is always seeking an optimistic side of all matters around. That is why she wanted to celebrate it by creating Glom-Glom characters and tell stories through them. It’s her very personal way of dealing with this hectic world, by using positive thoughts against the ugliness that get crazier these days.
